This kit is BYO Windows® laptop. Need hardware? Choose a new or refurbished rugged Panasonic Toughbook (e.g., semi-rugged 55 for shop use or fully rugged CF-31/tablets for field work) with setup and validation by Mechnician.

- Agricultural Equipment Auxiliary Supply Cable (JDC30AM2): Auxiliary power supply for agricultural equipment. Provides power to the Jaltest diagnostic tool.
- USB V9 Cable (JDC107.9): Legacy engines and controllers
- OBD-II 16-pin (JDC213.9): Newer light/medium off-road and certain engine controllers
- Multipin base lead: Attaches brand-specific adapters as needed
For many engine-level tasks, the 9-pin/6-pin/OBD set covers day-to-day work.

Q: What brands will this work on?
Jaltest AGV + OHW works across the leading agriculture and off-highway brands your shop sees every day. In agriculture, that includes John Deere, New Holland, Case IH, Claas, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Valtra, Deutz-Fahr, Kubota, JCB Ag, Landini, and McCormick, among others. On the construction/heavy-equipment side, coverage spans Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo CE, Case CE, Develon/Doosan, Hyundai CE, JCB, John Deere CE, Bobcat, Liebherr, Takeuchi, Hitachi, Wacker Neuson, and Manitou, plus common industrial and stationary engine families such as Cummins, Perkins, Deutz, FPT/Iveco, Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Isuzu, MTU, Scania, MAN, Kubota, Kohler, and Hatz. Q: Do I need internet access to use the software?
95% of the software including technical information and wiring diagrams can be used offline and on your computer. The internet is required for troubleshooting information, software updates and remote sessions with support.
Q: Can I use this with my own laptop?
Yes! This version is designed to install on your own Windows laptop. Minimum specs: Windows 10 and 8GB ram. The better the laptop is equipped the better it will work
Q: Can I use this on more than one machine?
Licensing is per Jaltest. You can install the software on up to 3 computers at a time. However, you need the device to connect to equipment. Therefore you can share the device, but can not work on 3 machines at the same time.
Q: Can I add more cables later?
Yes — we offer additional brand-specific or machine-specific cables that plug into your existing Jaltest Link.
Q: Can it perform regens, injector coding, and calibrations?
Absolutely. Jaltest offers advanced features like DPF regens, injector coding, joystick and pump calibrations, cylinder cutouts, and more.
Q: Is there a required annual fee?
After one year you will still have all the functionality of the software to diagnose, calibrate, check parameters etc. If you chose to not renew the Jaltest license you would lose access to our technical information, technical support, and the 3 major software updates. Q: Is it hard to install?
We make it easy. Your kit includes install instructions, and our tech team can walk you through it remotely if needed.
Q: How long does setup take?
Most users are up and running in less than 1 hour from unboxing.
Q: What operating systems are supported?
Jaltest runs on Windows 10 and 11. It is not compatible with Mac OS unless you use Parallels.

Each kit includes: Jaltest Link, a hard carrying case, essential cables, software license, and 1 year of expert technical support.
Q: What kind of support is included?
You get access to certified Jaltest technical support Monday to Friday, 8:30am–7:00pm EST via phone, email, or remote login.
Q: What happens after the first year?
You can renew your software license and support annually. We'll send reminders and options when your renewal is due.

Q: How often is the software updated?
Jaltest releases 3 major updates per year, adding new systems, models, and functions with each release.
Q: Does this kit include wiring diagrams and repair guides?
Yes — the Jaltest AGV/OHW kit includes interactive wiring diagrams, component information and troubleshooting for many faults. This information continues to increase during the 3 major updates a year.
Q: Is training included?
The software is extremely easy to use and most customers are full speed ahead from the start. Initial one on one virtual training is included. In addition unlimited passes to weekly group training sessions from Jaltest specialists are included. In person training and one on one training is available for a fee.
Diagnostic kits are able to ship the same day if ordered by 2pm EDT. Rush shipments are available and can arrive around north america in 24-48 hours. Standard shipping is 3-5 days globally.

If you already have a service laptop with minimium windows 10, 8GB of ram and 40GB of harddrive space we will install Jaltest for you on your device.
If you are looking for a rugged service laptop we have many options for you.
Certified Refurbished
We don't just clean them up, we fully inspect, rebuild and certify our refurbished laptops with a 98 step process. These certified refurbished laptops come with a 12 month warranty
The majority of our customers prefer the 5ft drop radius and value of the refurbished Panasonic CF31, but we have refurbished options for tablets and semi rugged laptops as well. CF31's can only run up to Windows 10 so if Windows 11 is required for security or to run your business consider a Certified refurbished FZ55 ,for $650 more

If you prefer a new Laptop a Jaltest branded Panasonic FZ55 is available as well as unbranded Dell laptops and tablet options.
Mechncian UpTime Coverage
If you need service on your laptop our service team will prioritize the repair and return it to you as quick as possible. To minimize your downtime add Mechnician uptime coverage to your license. With uptime coverage we will send a replacement laptop within 48 hours to use during your service period. Coverage available in North America for $397 a year
