Clearing Mack ABS Fault Codes 

The ABS light on Mack trucks comes on when there is a fault with the ABS system. It might be due to several factors, usually a faulty sensor, wiring, or issues with the Actuation Systems. You must press the ABS diagnostic button, hold it for three seconds, and get one of the following Mack fault codes. 

• ABS Code 36: Indicates a problem with the ABS modulator valve, possibly a faulty sensor or wiring.

Mack Truck Engine Fault Codes and Forced Regens

A Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is present in all diesel-powered engines. Its role is to trap soot and particulate matter in it while letting out the emissions. Hence, it makes for a cleaner environment and its presence in diesel engines is now mandated by law.

When soot accumulates in the DPF, the performance of the engine is affected and in extreme cases, the engine might seize up and the vehicle might go into limp mode. This happens when passive regens cannot clear the filter of particulate matter.
